They graduated from Moody in 1976 and were married that same year. Pastor Bob earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Calvary Bible College in Kansas City, Missouri. They were commissioned to serve as missionaries by the Gospel Missionary union [now AVANT ministries]. They served overseas from 1979 to 1990. Youth Pastor: Joe Mullarkey

Pastor Joe was grew up in Illinois attending VBS every year as a child. While he heard the Gospel, nothing really stuck with him until he was invited to youth group by a friend. Once again hearing the Gospel, Joe decided he didn't want to be "that guy who goes forward" so he pretended to know Jesus. It wasn't until attending a youth rally that he put his pride aside and accepted Jesus as his Savior. After high school Joe felt a calling into youth ministry. He attended Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa where he began his training for ministry. It was at Faith that Joe met his future wife Lori. After many years of being friends they were married in 2006. Joe and Lori served in Winterset, Iowa and Nebraska City, Nebraska before coming to Monroe in 2012. They have 3 children: Lily, Elijah, and Chloe.

Joe's passion is to train up the next leaders of the church through student ministry. He works with adults and students to make disciples who make disciples to further God's kingdom.
